MIU will hold its second VLJ Latin America and Caribbean
Conference at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami on November
10-11, 2008. This event leads the industry in the region
and is projected to surpass last year’s number of
attendees and sponsors very early on. Oscar Garcia has been
elected to Chair again the conference which was held in
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on December 2007. The conference
will cover the most relevant aspects of the VLJ, air taxi
and private fight business models in the region. Oscar Garcia
stated “I am delighted to chair for the second time
this prestigious event which is beginning to shape the VLJ
sector in more than 37 countries in the region. Moreover,
I look forward to developing the initiatives presented last
year and introduce new ones based on current industry challenges,
such as the oil prices and financing markets”.
The conference speakers range from Government decision makers
to entrepreneurs. Original Equipment manufacturers to after
market software providers and an expense roster of global
and regional industry leaders. Oscar will also lead the
workshop on November 11th which will focus on a topic intended
to provide tools and insights that the attendees can implement
and benefit from after returning to their companies. “Last
year, we focused on the single engine/pilot versus twin/engine
pilot and the results were phenomenal. Some of our attendees
actually revised and implemented changes to their plans
and strategies which yielded them tangible results within
a short period of time” Garcia stated “ I look
forward to the workshop as much as to the conference, as
it is a tremendous value for all as well as a very interesting
and challenging interactive session”
